Community and Healthcare Interpreter Training Program

This program offers:

  • 11 weeks of online learning of employability and occupational skills training
  • 12 weeks of work experience at an organization that matches the participants interests and abilities (including peer mentorship and job search support
  • 2 weeks of follow-up support
  • Possible living allowance provided

Eligibility:

  • Must be referred by WorkBC
  • EI Eligible: currently receiving
  • EI or EI Reachback
  • Earned more than $2,000 in insurable earnings and paid EI premiums on those earnings in at least 5 of the last 10 years
  • BCEA/BCEA-PWD clients
  • Must have a LINC 7 or 8
