Rainbow Refugee Society invites you to join its annual event to commemorate the International Day Against Homophobia and Trans-phobia.
This year ‘s event celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Decriminalization of homosexuality in Canada in May 1969 and ties in with the IDAHOT’s theme of Justice and Protection for All.
Join members of Rainbow Refugee, LGBTQ+ elders, and members of the community as they share their stories, experiences, and struggles through Our Theater of the Oppressed performance followed by Q&A and a discussion.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase from the Junction during the event. The Junction is an LGBTQ+ safe, accessible space on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh & Musqueam First Nations peoples
