World Refugee Day is on June 20th and MAP (Multi-Agency Partnership) has a great online event planned to celebrate refugees, their amazing talents and how they contribute to our communities!
In a world where 70.8 million people are displaced and violence forces thousands of families to flee for their lives each day, our community is proud to stand with refugees and recognize their journeys and resilience.
With the theme “Distant but Together”, the celebration will recognize and honor the significant contribution of refugees to British Columbia and create community – despite social distancing.
Join us from 2-4 PM for a celebration filled with music, poetry, speakers, and more! And stay tuned for spotlights on some of the wonderful people who will be sharing their talents and stories with us!
