The BC Refugee Hub is hosting a full-day professional development training forum titled: LGBTQ Refugees and Refugee Claimants.

Date: Tuesday, March 12, 2019

Time:  9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Location: Hilton Metrotown – 6083 McKay Ave, Burnaby, BC V5H 2W7

 

The agenda for this full day training event was created in collaboration with Rainbow Refugee. This training is suitable for those working in front-line positions, coordinators and managers at settlement service provider agencies, as well as community stakeholders who work with and support refugees and refugee claimants from the time they come to BC, during their claim process, when a claim decision is received an who are/become permanent residents (PRs).
Please Note:
  • Community stakeholders can include those working at: Municipal government, health authorities, school districts, post secondary institutions, police departments, community organizations and groups, volunteers, etc.
  • Morning refreshments and lunch will be provided for all attendees. If you have dietary restrictions, please let us know when registering. Travel claims, mileage and parking expense cannot be claimed for this free professional development training session.

Deadline to register: March 8, 2019
