The YMCA and their national partners invite settlement and anti-violence sector staff to register for the new session of the online course “Bridges to Safety: Building the capacity of the settlement sector to respond to gender-based violence, together with the anti-violence sector” coming on November 1st. The course is available in French as well on September 1st « Ponts vers la sécurité: Renforcer la capacité du secteur de l’établissement à répondre à la violence fondée sur le genre, en collaboration avec le secteur de la lutte contre la violence ».
It is a comprehensive, nationally available, introductory online 6-week professional development course for settlement and anti-violence organizations. It aims to build a common base of knowledge, increase awareness and education, and enhance our capacity to recognize and respond to GBV in ways that meet the unique needs of newcomer, immigrant, and refugee communities.
Gender-based violence is not unique to any community but rather affects all communities and we all can play a part in ending it!
