The BC Refugee Hub, in partnership with Islam Unravelled,  will be hosting a World Refugee Day Event on June 20th from 5pm – 7pm titled: A Celebration of Refugee Success Stories.

Every minute, 20 people leave everything behind to escape war, persecution or terror. Today there are nearly 80 million forcibly displaced people in the word — nearly 27 million of whom are Refugees. Every year Canada resettles approximately 30,000 refugees — giving them safety, opportunity, and welcome. The purpose of this forum is to highlight what refugees bring to Canada, showcasing their accomplishments, contributions, and beautiful addition to Canadian communities.
