South and North Food Hubs– With funding from the United Way Local Love campaign, now serving the South and North Food Hubs for Burnaby.  This includes coordination for food security issues for Burnaby residents who are experiencing food insecurity.

Burnaby residents and service providers can connect with South House (for South Burnaby residents – 604-431-0400) or North House (for North Burnaby Residents – 604-294-5444) for more information on available food resources.

Outreach Services for Families with Children 0-12

Services include:

  • Phone check ins
  • Grocery shopping and other essentials for isolated families who can’t get out but can afford to pay
  • Food security for low income families – delivery of donated food bags to families who are isolated
  • Support with connecting to any other needs that are identified.

Virtual programming  – includes  groups; children’s activities; parenting resources – connections to partners who are doing programming.

Digital Literacy Support– one to one support to help individuals apply for benefits and virtual digital training.

Adult Literacy– One to One tutoring is continuing.

Responsive Neighbourhood Small Grants– New program available to community residents wanting to organize a Virtual Gathering. Applications can be submitted from: April 15thto July 1st  Apply on-line at www.neighbourhoodsmallgrants.ca or email [email protected]for more information.
