ISSofBC is offering a series of free workshops this November for asylum seekers and refugee claimants living in Vancouver and Burnaby. These sessions are designed to help participants understand the refugee claim process and access essential support as they begin their journey in Canada.

Participants will learn about how to start a refugee claim, access legal support services, and understand relevant refugee documents and resources such as the Ready Tour. Workshops are offered both in person and online and are available in multiple languages — English, Spanish, Farsi, Dari, and Arabic. Childminding and bus tickets are also available for attendees.

• Thursday, Nov 13, 2025: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (English & Spanish)

• Wednesday, Nov 19, 2025: 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (English, Farsi & Dari)

• Thursday, Nov 20, 2025: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (English & Arabic)
