MOSAIC: Employment Workshops for Refugee Claimants

MOSAIC will be offering a free Resume Writing Workshop on Thursday, September 19 from 10:00am to 2:30pm at MOSAIC HQ (5575 Boundary Road, Vancouver BC).

The workshop will be offered in English with Spanish, Arabic and Farsi language support. The morning will consist of a presentation on guidelines for creating and updating your resume, and the afternoon will consist of one-on-one resume writing support in our Computer Lab with the support of multilingual volunteers.

Quick Details:

  • Thursday, September 19, from 10:00am to 2:30pm.
  • Trilingual (Arabic-Spanish-Persian) language support volunteers are provided.
  • All refugee claimants welcome, but pre-registration is required.
  • MOSAIC Vancouver (HQ) location: 5575 Boundary Road, Vancouver BC.

MOSAIC will also be offering free Foodsafe and FirstAid training workshop for refugee claimants on Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21 from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm at MOSAIC Surrey (7134 King George Blvd, Surrey BC). The training will be offered in English and Spanish.

Quick Details:

  • Friday September 20 (Foodsafe training).
  • Saturday, September 21 (FirstAid training).
  • Training is from 9:00am to 5:30pm – clients must attend full day, both days.
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish) instructor/Spanish speaking interpreter is provided.
  • All refugee claimants welcome, but pre-registration is required.
  • Bus tickets provided.
  • MOSAIC Surrey location: 7134 King George Blvd, Surrey BC.
