English Conversation Circles are a free resource for all refugees and newcomers to take advantage of to practice their English skills, make social connections and learn about Canadian culture. For those eligible for LINC, this is a great supplemental resource and for those not eligible for LINC (for example Refugee Claimants who are awaiting a decision on their case), this is a great resource to begin learning and enhancing English skills until PR status is received and they become eligible for LINC classes. For more information on the LINC program for newcomers and eligibility criteria, click here.

The following is a comprehensive listing of English Conversation Circles available as of July 22, 2021.

Resources may include.

  1. English Conversation Circles (ESL) or Conversation Circles on different themes and topics.
  2. Library Language Services and resources.
  3. Community Resources for all Newcomers and Refugees in British Columbia.

NOTE: Most of these Locations have online delivery of classes/circles while others have gradually transitioned into both online and limited in person capacity. Details are listed on their websites.
