MOSAIC’s Support for Refugee Claimants & Asylum Seekers

MOSAIC’s BC SAF Haven Program is dedicated to providing essential support to refugee claimants and asylum seekers in Canada. The program is open to individuals from all backgrounds, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and genders, offering a welcoming environment where participants can access a range of services to help them settle in Canada with dignity and respect.

Services Offered:

  • Initial settlement support: Guidance through the refugee claim process, assistance with healthcare, legal aid, income support, housing referrals, and connections to community resources.
  • Employment services: Help with resume writing, interview preparation, job search, work permit applications, and free certification training.
  • Mental wellbeing support: Free, confidential mental health services available in multiple languages throughout Metro Vancouver.
  • Community engagement: Opportunities for volunteering, leadership, and participation in creative workshops to foster social connections.

The program provides services in various languages, including English, French, Arabic, Farsi, Spanish, Mandarin, and others, ensuring accessibility for a diverse range of individuals.

Eligibility:

  • Refugee claimants
  • Asylum seekers
  • CUAET Visa holders (for mental wellbeing services)
