Options Community Services is hosting a comprehensive Pre-Employment Series aimed at supporting refugee claimants as they navigate the Canadian job market. Taking place this September, the program offers valuable resources and training to help individuals build essential skills for employment.
The series covers everything from resume building—ensuring resumes meet Canadian standards—to interview preparation. Attendees will also gain insights into job search strategies, workplace culture, and the importance of emotional wellness and digital safety in today’s work environment. A key feature of the program is the opportunity for mock interviews, where participants can practice and refine their interviewing skills.
Workshops are scheduled for September 12, 13, 19, and 20, and those interested can register by contacting Pooja Grover at [email protected] or Jürgen Pacussich at [email protected].
This initiative is designed to give refugee claimants the tools and confidence they need to successfully transition into the Canadian workforce.
