SFU’s registration is now open for several of their FREE online after-school programs! These FREE and virtual after-school programs help Surrey children and youth develop important relationships with SFU mentors while engaging in a variety of recreational, media, social, and educational programs.

Check out their programs that support children and youth with literacy, social connection, creativity, and English language skills.

  1. Tutoring, Homework, and English  Support Program
    This program is for newcomer youth in Surrey between Grades 5 to 9 who need extra help with their homework (English, Social Studies, Science or Math).Program Dates and Times:
    January 6th, 2021 to March 10th, 2021 | Wednesdays, 4:00-5:30 pm

    Registration deadline:
    Thursday, January 14th, 2021 at 11:59PM (a couple of spots are still available!)

  2. Racing Readers
    This program is for Surrey children in Grades 2 to 5 who need some extra support with their reading and numbers. It also involves physical activity.Program Dates and Times:
    Monday group: January 18th, 2021 to March 8th, 2021 3:30-4:30 pm
    Wednesday group: January 20th, 2021 to March 10th, 2021 3:30-4:30 pm
    Please note that children can register and attend one day per week, not both.

    Registration deadline:
    Friday, January 15th, 2021 at 11:59PM

  3. Media Minds
    This program is for Surrey youth in Grades 5, 6 and 7 to experience creativity and social connection through film education. Youth will also learn about storytelling and animation via the program Pivot Animator.Program Dates and Times:
    February 11th, 2021 to April 15th, 2021 | Thursdays, 3:30-5:30 pm

    Thursday, February 4th, 2021 at 11:59PM
