The BC Refugee Hub is hosting a webinar to support organizations working with refugee claimants and women with precarious immigration status who are at risk of or experiencing gender-based violence (GBV).


Key topics covered:

  • Current landscape of GBV as it relates to refugee claimants and women with precarious immigration status
  • Practical guidance on applying the Safety Assessment and Planning Tool
  • Legal and health system navigation strategies for clients experiencing GBV
  • Systemic challenges and intersectional risks (e.g. housing precarity, immigration status, language barriers)
  • Community-based referrals and best practices from the field
