The Government of Canada—Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), have introduced a new pathway to permanent residency for extended family members of Afghan interpreters who immigrated under the 2009 and 2012 public policies. This public policy will accept applications for up to 5,000 people. Once applicants are approved and arrive to Canada, the supports outlined in this factsheet are available to these families by the Government of Canada, immigrant and refugee serving organizations, and the family members of the applicants.
