Description from the CCR:

Does your organization get approached to participate in research or to refer clients for studies? Do you collect information for service delivery, reporting, evaluation and other purposes? This webinar is designed for NGOs to understand the ethical implications of research in situations of forced migration.

The facilitators introduced the tools developed through a project (with CCR participation) to help researchers, NGOs and research participants make informed decisions about their roles in research projects. The presentation covered academic research, as well as data collection that NGOs regularly do for service delivery, monitoring and reporting. It highlighted the specific ethical challenges that arise in forced migration contexts due to precarious legal status, unequal power relations and the criminalization of migration.
