Temporary replacement of a lost/stolen Refugee Protection Claimant Document

People in Canada whose Refugee Protection Claimant Document (RPCD) have been lost or stolen may request a temporary document by sending an email to IRCC.RPCDLostStolen-DDAPerduVole.IRCC@cic.gc.ca. Specify in the subject line if the RPCD was lost or stolen.

IRCC will send a message advising the client to create an epost Connect account and will then connect with the claimant through epost Connect to advise what information and documents they must provide.

Notes:

These are interim and temporary documents only, not replacements.

Individuals with an expired RPCD should not use this interim process. Their documents are considered valid.
