The BC Safe Haven Resource Network invites you to attend a training on tools and resources for literacy learners in the Safe Haven classroom. Although BC Safe Haven language instruction begins at CLB 1, teachers have reported seeing students with literacy needs. To address this need, the BC Safe Haven Resource Network has created a report and resource map of literacy tools, available on the BC Safe Haven Curriculum Guidelines website. This training will offer dedicated space for teachers to learn more about this resource, grow comfortable using what it offers, and discuss ways of implementing it in their classrooms

Who is this training for:
This training is designed for BC Safe Haven language instructors working with refugee claimant language learners in BC. Participants will be expected to join in group activities and discussion, so come prepared to speak up!
