Shuswap Immigrant Services Society (SISS) is a welcoming hub for newcomers in Salmon Arm and Revelstoke. As part of the BC Safe Haven Program, SISS provides essential services for refugee claimants, ensuring they have access to safe, reliable, and compassionate support during the refugee claim process.
SISS offers:
- Settlement support – guidance with refugee claim process and navigating life in Canada
- Job search assistance – helping claimants prepare for and access employment opportunities
- Individual counselling and group counselling – emotional and mental health support
- Accommodation search support – assistance in finding safe and stable housing
